Our high school teachers help us direct our energies in positive directions, help us learn the valuable skills necessary for success after high school either in vocational setting or for further education.
Our high school teachers should have the same skills in a variety of different ways in order to accommodate every style of learner.
Our high school teachers have the demeanor of an individual who sincerely cares for each student’s success. How wonderful they are, but what should we to do to show our appreciation for them?
Teacher Appreciation Day is reminder to thank our teachers.
This is good time for you to say “thank you!”, then your teacher know you valued their time and effort.
Plan an event to honor a teacher. Several students may want to plan an evening with each other and select high school teachers.
Plan the event based on an activity or sport that you were all involved in. Some ideas include a Teacher Appreciation Day party, a dinner or a potluck. When your together share memories and stories you recall from high school.
Our teachers like our hot beverages, especially when we’re staring at a pack of students at 7:25 in the morning. Coffee is definitely the gift that gives back. We can’t teach if we’re still asleep. Sometimes your teacher can never have too many coffee cups, she particular loves the travel mugs that easily ride along with her from home to school.
You can send an attractive white ceramic coffee mug that come in many different designs to choose from. The mug can be personalized with the teacher’s name, grade level and subject. The teacher can use the mug for their hot drinks.
Do not underestimate the value of help. If your teacher has children, offer to babysit or take the kids to the park so he or she can get some things done around the house.
If you live close to them offer to grab something at the store when you are already going. Go over and spend time visiting.
Help her clean the house. These may not seem like in the truest sense of the word, but they are gifts just the same and your teachers will greatly appreciate the time and effort you give.
Everyone appreciates the hard work that goes into homemade goodies, from cookies to fudge, jams and jellies. But teachers tend to get overloaded with sugary snacks during teacher appreciation week I think. Instead of brownies, consider sending a fruit basket, restaurant gift certificate or a seed kit for a summer garden.
To help teachers prepare their garden for spring planting. Your kids’ teacher may have no enough time to prepare their garden beds and plots for spring planting. You can send them some gardening tools they need include shovels, spades, rakes, loppers, bulb diggers, weeds and plows and then give them the suggestion of how to prepare their garden beds and plots for spring planting during Spring Break.
Honestly a thank you card would probably be appreciated the most.
Movie Tickets, give them a night out with a friend/spouse with a couple movie tickets.
